Namitha Kapoor is a famous South Indian actress and a former model. Namitha Kapoor born on May 10th, 1981 in Surat in Gujarat State, India has participated in several local beauty pageants before she won the 'Miss Surat' title in 1998 and missed her 2001 Miss India crown by a whisker and ended up being a second runner-up.
However, she got noticed by the industry people and thus began her career in showbiz world. Her celluloid journey down south with "Gemini" and Sontam", both Telugu films released in 2004 were quite a hit. The same year, her Tamil movie, "Engal Anna" starring opposite Vijayakanth became the biggest hit. Finally the hottest actress settled in Chennai getting plump roles in Tamil movies. She has also acted in an English movie, "Maya" {2007} and a lone Hindi movie, "Love Ke Chakker Mein" {2006}. She has rendered brilliant performance in almost all South Indian language movies.
Before she turned actress, the 5' 9" beautiful model has appeared in several television commercials endorsing the products such as Arun Ice cream, Nile herbal shampoo, Himani herbal soap, Himani cream, and Manikchand Ghutka.Born to a businessman father and a housewife mother, Namitha Kapoor did her graduation in English literature.
